Welcome to my photography web site, I am always adding new work of different subjects, styles or anything of interest that catches my eye.
Recently honored to be chosen as 1 of 6 national photographers to be exhibited in Charlottes Lightfactory Annuale/4 competition i enjoy shooting themed projects as much as portraits.
If you are interested in me doing some creative photographs of you or for you, please get in touch.. Whether you want a family portrait, modeling shots, conceptual, bridal, promotional work, etc. I work from my home studio or at any interesting location that will enhance the images or your personality/style. Simply get in touch with me and tell me your ideas and i will come up with something unique for you.
Oh, by the way...please do not download my images for your own use, that's not nice. please ask me first and we can work something out.
i love to hear from anyone who does photography, who models, is artistic and creative in any way. sharing ideas is a great way to grow. collaborating on things is good too.
Somethings about me.... i have been learning since i first picked up my dad's polaroid at 13 and shot action photos of my friends playing football, and the cute girl down the street. i read, experiment, look at photographs, read, ask questions, attend a workshops and read some more. I always have my camera with me 'cause you never know what you might see'. trial and error have been great teachers.
currently i shoot digital...a nikon d200 and diana [film], as well as my old polaroid. most shots are altered slightly in nikon capture nx2. some get just a 'tweak' while others get more attention. it all depends on what i am going for. the 'digital darkroom' is a wonderful thing, but i use it to enhance a picture only...i am not a graphic artist. that's well beyond my computer skills anyway.
lastly...my MANY thanks to all the people and models you see pictured here. they are all wonderful with unique personalities and great looks, as well as Q. Heard, wardobe/stylist who styled many of the looks here. i just hope i have done them justice with my camera...it was a pleasure working with all of you. well, except one who was a bit difficult, but water under the bridge as they say.
Feel free to send me an email with any questions, comments or random thoughts.
Thank-you
Glenn DeRosa
